Nails, like hair, do
not have nerves once they grow out from the skin. Thus, these body parts are
considered dead cells. They grow longer as more dead cells are pushed out.
Cutting them is painless as there are no nerve endings at their tips.
Regardless of these body parts being considered as dead, much is invested on
their appearance and maintenance. How many times does one have to go to the
beauty parlor in a month to get different kinds of treatment that are said to
enhance one’s looks? Or consider the length of time spent fixing one’s hair,
and in getting nails painted. The extent vanity has reached are hair
extensions, different hair coloring, hair straightening, curling or getting a
perm. And then, there are the wigs. With regards to nails, there are different
colors of which to color them. And yes, there are artificial nails.
The wonder about these
artificial nails is that one can have several sets and choose which set to wear
depending on the occasion. How great is that? These acrylic nails could be part
of one’s wardrobe! Nail care then, is not only limited to the nails on one’s
fingers or toes, but extends to the artificial nails in the closet! What great
invention!
Acrylic nails are a
great help to one who has to attend a special occasion yet does not have much
time to fix the nails. With lesser time, great nails are achieved by wearing
the artificial nails over the short, trimmed nails on the fingers. One
advantage of this is that these artificial nails can be taken off right after
the occasion, and can be stored longer. Just make sure that the nail tips are
not chipped by wrapping them in soft, smooth cloth. To maintain the sheer, it
is good to use soft nail brushes on the acrylic nails before using them, making
sure to apply less pressure on the nail tips as these are vulnerable to
chipping.
There truly have been
great innovations even in the area of nail care. Great looking, easy to
maintain nails are achievable through acrylic nails.
